The AKG D77S is a rugged handheld dynamic microphone designed for vocal and general instrument capturing. The D77’s versatility covers the gamut of applications and excels in live sound reinforcement and studio recording. The cardioid polar pattern is effective in minimizing off-axis noise and feedback. The D77S provides a wide frequency response with a slope at the extreme high and low frequency ranges. A bump in the upper-mid range accentuates presence and intelligibility in vocals. The rugged, road-worthy D77S accurately captures vocals, strings, guitar, piano, amplifier cabinets, drums and percussion in pristine detail.
Contoured Frequency Response
The frequency response features a rise in the upper mid-range while sloping the extreme high and low frequencies for maximum detail without noise and artifacts.
Cardioid Polar Pattern
The cardioid polar pattern is effective in minimizing noise at the off-axis sections of the capsule.
